"Good attitude, or mood, is necessary for motivation, and motivation is necessary to change your lifestyle.

It's all interconnected!"

Dr. Ken Counts in Rejuvenation

A Note from Arkansas Psychologist Dr. Ken Counts:

Hello, and thinks for taking time to visit my website. Through this site, I hope that you’ll be able to find information about our counseling services, as well as truly get a feel for the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere of our offices.

I’ve been an Arkansas psychologist for over 30 years. People often ask me how I and why I got into clinical psychology. The answer is easy: I enjoy listening to and helping people in imes of stess or despair. Understanding human behavior is always fascinating.

During the early part of my education at the University of Central Arkansas, I quickly became captivated with the mind and mental health. While at UCA, I earned both my Undergraduate and Master’s Degree and received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. For the last 31 years, I have been counseling in Little Rock, Arkansas.

I see patients everyday of varying circumstances: depression, anxiety and grief, social apprehension, ADD, relationship problems, psychological trauma and chronic pain.

No matter the psychological issue, each patient holds within himself or herself one positive shared attribute: hope. It is my duty to harness that positive energy and build sound relationships with all of my patients as we work together to reach your goals in a comfortable environment.

The atmosphere in my office is casual, to say the least, and that’s the way we like it. We want our clientele to be as comfortable as we are! In other words, jeans and sneakers work well, becauseI have found that a friendly, casual office tends to put people at ease. Since most people are at least a little nervous at their first visit, this is very important.

In general, I am active and directive toward my clients rather than passive. I am somewhat eclectic in my approach to people, meaning I cater to each patient’s needs, but I do regularly employ tactical cognitive-behavioral techniques and evidence-based strategies.

I truly look forward to helping you in any way that I can.

Sincerely,

Arkansas psychologist, Ken Counts, Ph.D.
